The King James for Luke 7:47 seems to modern readers like loving much causes forgiveness in the first part, "for she loved much". But the second part make it clear: "but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

The King James doesn't actually differ on the first part. Modern readers read "for" as "because". But it is actually "for the purpose of". E.g. "I run for exercise". So the King James (90% of which is WIlliam Tyndale) gives us another insight: God forgives sin for the purpose of us loving much. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/for
"because of" is #28 in meanings of "for" on dictionary.com. If you think about it, "for the purpose of" and "because of" are closely related. "Shout for joy" is both "Shout for the purpose of joy" and "Shout because of joy".
