The Dogwoods here are getting more color every day.
On Saturday I noticed that the maple tree started to let some of its leaves gently twirl to the ground.  The tree itself is not at full color though.

Somehow the beginning of the color change has snuck up on me this year.

Sept. gave us 7 3/4 inches at my house.

I just looked at AccuWeather's October forecast for the Raleigh area.  There's not much rain forecasted.  Of course, these forecasts don't mean much.  It's all subject to change.

El Nino is in full effect since mid-September, which is why the Hurricanes keep being pushed NE.
