Ah, I have not read any of the comics, so I knew nothing about Jane's transformation to Mighty Thor. And the movie did not fill in those gaps. I was puzzled.
I agree that the wrong lessons were taken from Ragnarok. Humor and a great soundtrack were part of what made Ragnarok special, but it also had a lot to do with the script and the actors.
Maybe it has something to do with Tom Hiddleston not being in this one, too. He and Hemsworth really play off of one another well.
@09e1d236 Oh its such a great story. Thor becomes unworthy of Mjolnir and a new mystery woman Thor shows up. You don't even find out its Jane for months. Then you find out she's dying of cancer and that everytime she uses her power it makes her sicker but she's also addicted to it. SUCH a great story. And she LOOKED so great in the movie. Such a waste of one of the best Thor stories ever.

I may need to find a way to read it. I ended up asking a lot of questions as I watched the movie.
But I thought that it might just be disappointment that it wasn't Ragnarok perfect. 😂
