Any suggestions on layer chicken breeds with a child? Have access to a few breeds today, but figured I'd ask. #asknostr # homesteading
I liked my Buff Orphingtons. They were good layers, could handle long cold winters, and were gentle and friendly. I handled them a lot. They also were big enough to eat for meat (especially if you like dark meat). Unfortunately, I developed a lung sensitivity and had to chose between breathing and eggs, so I don't have them anymore.
I second this.
Thank you.
Thanks for the recommendation.
how about quail?
Maybe they is next.
