@2a70c54d Oh, I would not care for that. Bad enough when trippy clowns are real like that building in Venice but you know you can leave it behind after the light changes. https://media.mstdn.social/media_attachments/files/111/144/077/388/132/277/original/49855f2dc7d4b5ad.jpeg
@a763f0a6 Ah, I've yet to experience DMT. I'm not particularly fond of clowns but they don't bother me like they do some people. But, honestly, the clowns are about the mildest entities I've heard about. There are far more sinister things on the edge of perception.
@2a70c54d There's nothing quite as sinister as the human subconscious! @a763f0a6
@b92b6163 @a763f0a6 eh, I'd not be so quick to reduce it to just internal chemical changes and hallucinations.
@2a70c54d While I haven't done DMT personally, I've been following the science and discussion by users less prone to wanting to believe God is speaking to them personally, my conclusion is that it stays well within the realm of natural experience (this makes any feelings of connection to the universe and wonder no less worthwhile or genuine as a personal experience, just like understanding the neurobiology of meditation doesn't nullify the benefits of meditation and the sense of being one with all we get when we shut down our sense of proprioception and lose the sense of our body in space). I wasn't so quick to come to this conclusion, it took a while. I'm still curious to try DMT at some point, even if I'm partially attracted to it for it's "busy person's psychedelic" aspects! @a763f0a6
@2a70c54d @a763f0a6 I want to talk to the fractal machine elves, personally. I feel like they just sit around waiting for people to "perceive" them just so they fuck with them.
@89e51746 @a763f0a6 for me, I just want to see the place where language has form and substance
@2a70c54d @a763f0a6 I've tried to dream about a place like that. I envision it is a world-sized ocean that I call 'Ur', the primordial ooze of thought and time. Where every idea and sound rises from its depths before escaping into the universal consciousness. The closest I've gotten is an unending stream of goo pouring out of my mouth that I can shape into anything and give it life.
