People want me to put the #Bitcoin
Block Height on my labels.

When do you consider wine "done"
 That’s wild!

I’d say when the sipper takes a sip.

Or, when you decide to bottle it could also work.
block time feels to exact for a 6 hour bottling day
That’s fair, it’s a bit arbitrary timing wise.

You should average out the block times of the time you spent growing and then bottling. 😂
 vintage seems enough
This is one of those things that people think they want until it comes time to actually pay for it to be implemented. This could work with extremely small batch stuff I'm sure but I've seen "small" wine operations and some of those tanks are fucking huge. I can't imagine doing this without some really expensive setup.
 well said.

I think it comes from people who don't quite understand wine and just want a nod.

the only block height that makes sense is the one where the bottle was finished.
I suppose a birth date might make some sense, but wine isn't really the same at any particular point. I could say that the birth is when all necessary components are combined, but the alcohol component isn't there yet (and maybe other chemicals - I don't know the full chemistry). It's a super complicated expectation
This would be a lot easier with Bourbon since it doesn't age after leaving the barrel.
Considering wine isn't necessarily done until you drink it maybe putting in a harvest date instead?
still the block height seems to vague.

you're right that a bottle isn't finished until it's empty
I would do block height when bottled
soooooooooo be vague about an 8 hour day?
 Well, when you cork it!
it's 1+ yrs from being done when I cork it
 Don't
 only for Bitcoin specific bottles
The simplest solution I can think of is the birth of the batch, meaning when every component is combined. That would at least have the same label for every bottle of that particular batch container. But I've only toured a tiny winery once. I know fuck all
Bottle Date via Bitcoin block height
The block hight of when it started to age will be cool. Our when it was bottled
Wine isn’t done until it makes you feel funny. I’d like to see block height on the bottle of when the batch was started. Conception. When yeast hit the grapes.
bottled date and by the cask. I've been down this road with block height on art. but how to do it? just the number or something more. I like more. QR codes on bottle to block height via @TC just like this https://m.primal.net/KaKB.png
Make sure you have a healthy yeast to start. When the final gravity levels out, then wait a few weeks, if you can wait that long!
