petty theft, murder, assault, rape, drug dealing.
Democracy is not the freedom to do whatever anyone wants.
Democracy is also law and order which America does not have.

It has complete chaos.  Yes this helps mask the politically expedient crimes as well.  Its in their best interest to allow crime to grow, in order to strengthen the police state. 

 Exactly! The chaos is what makes it politically expedient. The worse it gets the more people will cry for a tougher police state to JUST MAKE IT STOP.
