Can anyone into science-y skincare please confirm to me that microcurrent is fake
@53de482a What kind of skincare? The only reports on microcurrent I could find on pubMed was for wound healing. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32654615/
@53de482a #Microcurrent is real and can be used for pain, nerve stimulation. They get blood flowing in an area. Not sure (every) facial stimulators can build up muscle to reduce sagging. I was considering them and may yet again. But I recently forked out cash for omnilux so it will have to wait. I see improvement in texture with #redlighttherapy. I'm pretty sold on those. I've used it for back pain too. I recently found out about PAO exerciser on Dr Dray. $125 Hmm.
@53de482a I don't know anything about skincare, but the "sciencey" side of me tends to believe "microcurrent" as a skin treatment is nonsense. Healthy skin is all about elasticity & bloodflow. Running current through the skin would harm BOTH those things. Ever see a hotdog hooked up to a car battery? 😆 😉
