Has NOSTR gone quiet? Is this normal?
🤷♂️
Pretty noisy over here in my corner at the moment…
fuck it means i'm boring, bollocks
it gets quite in my timeline from time to time, especially during the day (which is when everyone in the states sleeps). Hard to say when the busiest times are - some time when I'm sleeping I guess.
yeah was just curious, think most mainstream social media appears busy because of the vast numbers that use it and constant bot agitation
You probably get a lot more "surfaced" content in other social media platforms. More time spent on app = more ad revenue, so their goal is to maximize how much time you spend in the app. Here, you can run out of trending notes and latest notes pretty quickly.
yes, this is what I figured out over time too, their game is keep your eyes on their app any cost, that's why they can't be totally transparent or do things that would actually kill the bot activity pretty quickly, they need to appear to be doing the right thing but not actually doing it.
that and their share value would plummet (well, not X's anymore), if people learned how many users are actually just bots
i'd put the number of bots and paid agitators at 60%+ of active accounts
Totally agree. Asian hours for us is super slow. You can put out notes and it seems like they just disappear into the ether.
This is why I try to post often. Some people think I am just chatty haha.
I try to go quality (no offense) but suspect your approach is better. More an outcome of my age than anything else.
NOSTR seems like a much more positive and constructive place than other social media sites, I've found some good contacts and information already and I've only been on here a week or so. The Zap thing is fun and looks like a great way to spread #bitcoin lore and push back on the criminal elites. I'm looking for people to collaborate on my project but not sure how I can use NOSTR to promote that, any ideas let me know.
Do you need dev help? The best I can probably do is share a note. Devs seem to be busy atm.
i paid for gpt4 today and got it to show me how to make a simple web site, here's the result www.randomromania.com - i'd pay someone (a reasonable amount) to help me tidy it i used to program 6502 as a teen but those skills are long gone, i'm building a real project and there's real land and opportunity up for grabs for the right people, i've got 4 on board so far and 8k+ on youtube, 50 i speak with regularly and another 200+ that are keeping in contact but the people i'm looking for are probably 1 in a 1000, maybe 5000 all ideas/input greatly appreciated
