 Wow Foundation season 2 starts off so badly. They ruined 2 crucial mysteries and crucial plot points in the first 3 episodes. The returning characters (that shouldn’t be there at all IMO) jump from sadness to excitement to solving problems in one single scene, it’s… so weirdly written and directed.

I almost thought the first scene of the first episode was a joke, as it felt so weird.

Super disappointed in the adaptation so far.
 @39c11d1e < me over here loving it lol
 @39c11d1e
I felt the same when I watced and eventually stopped watching.
 @39c11d1e I was thinking of starting it soon. But after your post am rethinking it... I read the books and it was not what I read but good enough to pass the time. If season 2 is worse will skip it.
 @39c11d1e It's poorly written fanfic by someone who clearly isn't a fan 🤷‍♂️
 @39c11d1e i thought it was amazing. One of my favourite shows.
 @39c11d1e despite the Gaal/Salvor bits, the Trantor/Empire/Demerzel story (and the acting) is pretty well done, even though the Asimov books are something totally different indeed 👌. Happy bingeing!
 @39c11d1e All in the name of simplifying the narrative so it’s more approachable. And based on critical reviews it seems to have worked.

For critics.

I found Season 1 to be much better than Season 2. LOVED all the timeline jumping, loved the world building, the density of the plot, and everything involving Lee Pace. (Who isn’t in nearly enough scenes for Season 2)
 @39c11d1e Wheel of time fans: "Clubhouse is this way"
 @39c11d1e I knew it had lost all potential when they decided to start dragging anchor characters into the future rather than just having a fresh round of characters in each era like the books did.
 @39c11d1e I started watching Foundation season 1, liked the start , but at one point it lost me completly. Is it worth to restart and rewatch season 1 for season 2?
 @39c11d1e, for me is frustrating that they combined such a long list of events into a few episodes...
 @39c11d1e

I have strange feeling towards the show. I never red the books before, so I was new to the story and its amazed me. Now - during season 2 - started reading it and I am confused on the negative comments.
Yes both are very different however by my opinion, the show runners done a nice job tailoring and bending the source material to be adaptable and enjoyable for the TV show format.

 Not to mention great performances of actors like Seldon, Brother Day and of course Demerzel!
