I agree with you 100%. Their desire to make Bitcoin whatever they think Bitcoin should be is clearly hanging in the air. I just don't think they'll succeed. They should have done this "buying up Bitcoin" 10 years ago and they might have succeeded. Fortunately they didn't and over 93% of the supply has been already distributed. 

Imo the worst case scenario is that wall street tampers with the price in a massive collusion, gets chewed up by the whales and spit out.
