I am thinking about decentralizing kycnot.me making use of #nostr. I need to think this further, but sounds interesting.

I would like it to be self-sustainable from and by community contributions, without needing my supervision. So anyone could host a nostr-kycnot relay and make the database even more distributed, or even host an exact mirror that would take the data from available relays.

This has some challenges, like spam or fake reviews/votes, but I think this would be great.

 Quality control is very important, though. 

Your site has value because you personally curate it in a centralised way, and that's why the signal to noise ratio is very high.

Without that, #kycnotme is just a hashtag that will be gamed.

Interested in the possibilities, but I see more snakes than ladders...
