Ohh that's heavy. Well, I as a Muslim would never say or assume that Allah would have taken a son or a daughter. He is too perfect for that, much above that. 

The need for a son is with humans. Please take a look at the two attached images. The first one is the second Surah. The second image is a very heavy ayat that challah highlight how offending the idea of Allah having a child is in Islam. 

Again, your life your decisions. I am not here to get you a Muslim. My goal is only to understand the Quran myself and talk about the tiny bits I came to understand
