My mum's having more and more difficulty using Apple mail on her iPhone and iPad, and texts get lost in the ether between her (argh!) iMessage and my normal phone, probably as part of a scam to sell more iMessages [fedi meme reference, I'm clever]

She likes iMessage, and would really prefer to use it.

Wondering whether #DeltaChat @1209b024 could be used to bridge the gap, replacing both because a single app would be simpler. Can it send and receive texts/iMessages? @01fad1b7 #OlderPersons 

 @c9732bb3 @01fad1b7 no, delta chat does not integrate with sms messaging. And its maybe a bit premature to recommend delta chat over iMessage for people who otherwise like and are comfortable with iMessage.  Maybe ask the question on the support.delta.chat forum to get more opinions?
