@1273d431 In the past year, with the electrical rate increases, I decommissioned the Dell servers at home and transitioned to external solutions - keeping at home only backups, primary data, and the things that are convenient to have on the LAN (Home Assistant, etc.) using low power devices. Today, for many clients, I'm calculating that it's more cost-effective to host externally (on physical servers in data centers) than to keep the server 'within the walls'.
@5f9bb1a8 yes electrical rates are exactly the issue. When working in the DC I had unlimited possibilities and great hardware. Now, everything is hosted externally with edge fitting resources. Now, I want to test something which can not be tested on a local VM and I’m forced to order a new VPS
