Dangote secures oil from TotalEnergies, refinery plans to supply most of Africa

Dangote Refinery has secured a major crude oil supply agreement with TotalEnergies. The CEO of Dangote Refinery, Patrick Pouyanne, announced that TotalEnergies has finalized an agreement to supply the refinery with crude oil. The refinery, once fully operational, will be the largest in Africa and Europe, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. Dangote stated that the refinery will also export to other African countries once it reaches its full operation. The refinery has started producing jet fuel and will soon produce diesel and gasoline. Dangote mentioned that the refinery's capacity exceeds Nigeria's needs and will be able to supply fuel to West, Central, and Southern Africa. The next phase of the refinery project is set to commence early next year. TotalEnergies is a significant crude oil producer in Nigeria.
