This isn't an exaggeration. At the start the game tells you to keep the Bible handy, and then just proceeds to throw verses at you instead of puzzle hints. https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/111/064/346/762/816/045/original/e50ccfb0b7a9b4c2.png https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/111/064/347/238/424/084/original/2222c6c80c5ca9e9.png https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/111/064/347/622/903/477/original/1c279f5771dd1bbd.png https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/111/064/348/585/703/008/original/54ddc58d528b74a3.png
@256f7651 Note that is requires not any bible, but KJV specifically. Reminds me of Borges' "Pier Menard, author of the Quixote": "...in a certain newspaper, whose protestant leanings are surely no secret". ;)
@24400155 Isn't KJV the most used Bible in the world?
@256f7651 @24400155 I remember a day in fourth grade here in Brazil when students were asked to bring a Bible from home to school for an activity. I didn't have one, so I just watched amused as the teacher asked the students to look things up and they couldn't agree on stuff because their versions were so different.
