Wolf attacks in Bahraich: Orders have been given to shoot the wolf, says CM Yogi

On September 15, 2024, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey in Bahraich due to wolf attacks that have caused casualties over the past two months. He reported that several residents, including children, have been injured. CM Yogi stated that a campaign to capture the wolves has been initiated, with 5 wolves rescued and one still at large. He mentioned the deployment of 165 forest department teams and 4 thermal drones in the area. While the priority is to rescue the wolves, he indicated that shooting the wolves would be a last resort if violence continues.
