 There's a direct train connection between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Brussels (200 km, 1.5 hours by Thalys).
And still, @klm operates 4 return flights Amsterdam-Brussels today.

 Yes, these flights are probably mostly used by transfer passengers, traveling to Brussels via Amsterdam etc. But they should take the train too..

 @7f60fbe4 Sounds stupid but makes sense for flight connections - Brussels is a major hub for flights to Africa
