 I hadn’t fully grasped that employer sponsored health insurance costs in the US had grown to over $22,000 per year for an average family. It’s obscene.

I remember once asking for much COBRA cost, when I was looking to quit my last job.

It was more than my rent per month. 

It is inverse job security, where you are tied to your employer.
