We are not retarded. We simply (for whatever reason) haven't been exposed to the bitcoin in the same way you did and in my case even when I wanted to buy, I couldn't.
Don't undemestimate "those people". Many of them are fully aligned with truth and freedom and could bring a lot on the table, even feel the gap between 2 worlds.
What is needed is a proper introduction, demonstration and education. When internet and computers were becoming "new kid on the block", there was worldwide education and implementation in each country and institution which is not the case here.
Ironically, without getting this critical masses of people, bitcoin will never become mainstream and fullfill its potential. Nostr could be one of the powerful ways to introduce people to bitcoin.
