@40ceb4c5 I have a really specific rule for when people are talking about bringing another animal home. The rule that if my friends know me, they know what advice they will get. To wit: help with researching where to find said animal, offering of potential animals, etc. etc. 

 @2cbbc686 people who know me know they’re about to get the bluntest advice possible. twenty years ago I might been all in on my friend’s side. at this point both sides get told. (I have also given people the what-for with animal advice. frequently. way too bluntly. sigh.)
