Particles of and ancient blast wave.…?  I like to think of it that way. 

 Everything in the universe “is” the blast wave. 

 Oh wow. So the expansion is driven by what force beyond the initial bang/blast?  There must be some force which continues the expansion.  And Dark Matter must create some counter to the expansion.
