The full decentralized web stack I believe is now there. Nostr is one component in it, namely the relay component, but there are many other components in it, for example bitcoin for payments, and other solutions for storage, and so on.
The challenge now is to roll it out. A solution is not enough, people need to be ready for that solution. You can only successfully roll out a solution that people are ready for. Even to a small group. So the skill becomes finding which part of the stack people are ready for.
Interestingly, machines will be part of a future stack for the first time. The roll out to machines will be different to the roll out to humans. But potenially more impactful.
i’m reading up on tim berners-lee and now his work on the solid project. wildly exciting. are you actually working in some capacity with him or is this a joke?
As a devops person, I'd love to help with this. Do you think, proxmox, kubernetes, start9 are valid paths for roll out or are there other technologies you think are better
Yes, that could work very well! Im not really an expert in these techs. But a way to bundle stuff together is going to be the next very valuable thing on the journey to creating a decentralized web. Would love to learn more and explore this idea.
I'll bet it'll be like this start9 for non-technical, proxmox for power users, kubernetes will (hopefully) remain in the business realm.
Everyone is waiting with baited breathe for the start9 clearnet release
