If you just need a good, solid, self-custodial lightning wallet with reasonable fees, I recommend you check out Breez. It’s a “node in the phone” app, and is excellent for normal sending and receiving on LN. It also supports on chain payments, although there is a swap fee associated with on chain. It doesn’t give you a lightning address for receiving, so it’s not one you can add to your Nostr profile. But if you need a safer place to move sats out of your custodial wallets, it’s a great option. Another good one for Nostr zaps and other small payments is Lightning Tip Bot ( https://LN.tips ). When you go to the website it takes you to Telegram where you can set it up and get your Lightning address (also gives you an option for an anonymous address if you don’t want to use your telegram username). You can then either use Telegram to control the wallet or link it to Zeus or BlueWallet for a more familiar wallet app interface.

🤣 My favorite way to use it besides on Nostr is connected to the Zeus app. Because once it’s set up you can just send and receive as easily as with WoS, scan invoices, pay to Lightning addresses, etc.

I use breeze for my podcasting 2.0 stuff. Love breeze and there support is on it! But like any other wallet its main issue is it saves your keys to a cloud drive so PLEASE use the extra 12 word security encryption.

They need to force that shit down your throat tbh. Can go a long while ignoring it just to lose sats cause you never backed up. Also like zeus they open channels so certain payment amounts or routes will not be possible depending on your funding and connections.

Lol 🤣 Have you tried lightning tip bot? You set it up in telegram and then you can link it to Zeus and use it like any other wallet. And it gives you a lightning address and supports zaps.

You don’t have to use with Zeus. That’s just a more familiar interface. You can control the wallet entirely from telegram.
