 Well, I don't have Google Play Services installed, and it seems to run fine so far...

 It’s not using any GMS API if I haven’t missed any code. Even for FCM push notifications, it’s using FOSS-FCM.

 Ah...so it doesn't require GPS (and will run without it)...thanks.

Downloading the APK from GitHub via #Obtanium will work for me.
