I do think that tech jobs are not quite dead yet. There is a level of creativity and macro systems knowledge that AI will not achieve for some time if at all

I feel sorry for those just entering their careers. It’s not going to be easy to be low on the ladder 

 Agreed on all points. I’d argue that coming from GAFA (and SF) creates a certain understandable cynicism for guys like him. 

 Yeah. I still work for a Silicon Valley company and survived a few layoffs. 

Looks like Musk has shown that most jobs are fake, but there is a core 10 or 20% of the employees you still need or nothing gets done
