I am not sure if Mike Pence is deluded or stupid. In his recent speech, he basically repudiated the whole idea of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. He created a strawman (Populism) as a stand in for America First/MAGA. He seems to view the constitution as a skirt to hide behind, when tyrants and liberty crushers ignore it, and blow past it's boundaries, in their relentless assault on the people. Fighting back would be ruinous and unconstitutional.  just awful reasoning
