How much metadata is leaked through posts and images/videos on Nostr?

As a very big fan of anonymity, is there anything I can do to enhance my privacy other than using vpn/alias? I am aware of tor but am not familiar enough with it.

There have been a few occasions where I have wanted to post interesting pictures from travels etc but am concerned about the metadata they may have attached.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Not sure about mrtadata leaking, but Orbot is another helpful option.
I think Signal will strip metadata from your camera. You could send it to yourself first.
Use an exif metadata stripping tool like "scrambled exif" to clean your images before posting them.

Or use GrapheneOS which has a hardened camera app that doesn't save exif data in the first place.
Dammit I've been scrambling on GrapheneOS
Nice. Will check both these out. :)
Would be nice, if this option could be integrated into the #nostr app @miljan
There are plenty of apps that will remove metadata from your photos. Just be sure to read their privacy policies.

The one I use for iOS is Metapho. The one I use for Android is Scrambled EXIF.
