 Fruit was def my downfall
Recently I heard that there is a variety of grapes that have been developed to taste like cotton candy. Wtf? 🤦‍♂️
 We are addicts.
Fruit okay, enjoy it occasionally 😉

For me, I stick with a rough 80/20: mostly meat and fats, the rest "good" carbs. Some days pure meat, other days more carbs (still the meat/fat ratio is higher).

Heresy am I right? 😂
I used to do the same. I just found the closer I got that 20 to 0, the better I felt.
Right on, I can respect that.

🦁
"Good carbs" is a fallacy - all your body sees is glucose/fructose molecules whether it came from an apple or a snickers bar

All is poison
But Ben the cyanide in my diet is natural, it comes from almonds bro.

It’s organic bro.

Why are you anti health bro
 😂🤣
I completely agree. I’ve argued with the “carnivore” raw honey people forever. Just a justification for your sugar addiction that you try to call healthy. Anything ending in -ose is sugar. Even raw milk and lactose. Your liver can’t parse any of it out.
 The meat maxi flex 💪
I mean I just have a hard time believing all carbs are poison when I have grandparents that are healthy at 95 years old and eat carbs lol.
The body is pretty resilient. Most people just are sedentary and massively overdue carbs based on their activity level
Some people handle them better than others, and your body can definitely survive in spite of some carbs. You’re just not optimized. My strength and tone 3x’d when I went from keto to like 98% carnivore.
Yea i agree some handle them better than others
Hence the ratio I've landed on,
It works for me.
Yea I feel best in about that same ratio
I do fine without meat. I haven't eaten meat, or lard, meat broth etc since 1985, almost 40 years. I do eat dairy & pretty much anything healthy, loads of fresh vegetables & fruits, nuts, legumes, whole grains etc. Never been overweight, blood tests always good. Eating a variety of healthy foods is the best thing you can do for yourself (& exercise of course), just go to places like Italy and see how they eat. Food fads like the current carnivore stuff aren't going to work out long term for good health & will die out like all other diets/fads.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Yeah the "all carbs are bad" stuff is ridiculous. Italians have been eating pasta for centuries & are doing fine, a lot better than most Americans.
Carbs were eaten during times of food scarcity. Pasta was made in response to a lack of available meat. Americans are terriblly fat now because we eat even more carbs. We weren’t like that before the introduction of the food pyramid and seed oils. We were incredibly fit. Many Italians are overweight. Especially in southern Italy. I saw it firsthand. Again, your body can survive in spite of carbs. However, you are not optimized.
Anyone eating a balanced diet of *healthy* foods is going to be fine. A traditional Italian diet is great. As with a lot of countries highly processed garbage is pushed on the, American junk, and people fall for it unfortunately. It's sad
Yea this is generally the problem. Processed food and seed oils
Depends what you are trying to optimize for. Losing weight? Carnivore pretty great for that. If you’re an athlete or a bodybuilder then no carb isn’t generally seen as optimal. Carbs also help thyroid function. There’s a lot of nuance to this topic
 Always
Yes I was being facetious ha. I am the same. I use carbs around when I lift . Insulin is anabolic but if you don’t use it right it just gets stored as fat and leads to disease.
