@2a70c54d Often classified as "adult contemporary", but my real vote is 'Pop-prog' (which I just made up). If you look at the arrangements, they're very complex, often poly-rhythmic, and layered as you'd see in progressive rock, but with a mass-appeal pop accessibility about it.

It maintains a groove, yet impossible to dance to.
