Skill wise I resent Mozart for his saccharinity.
I can live with Bach, but, probably embarrassingly, I suggest Scriabin or Rachmaninov.
I think Rachmaninov effectively concluded classical composition and fulfilled its premiss and potential.
Scriabin, while I heard some real drivel supposedly written by him, at his most successful sounds completely beyond, and unbound by conventional implements. I think he went to places that few people ever managed to bring something back from in any discipline.
