 Haha, always need more clamps! It's a guitar body, or hopefully will be! 
 I consider guitars a type of paddle but that's fair!  Good luck making it, I'll look forward to seeing the final product. 
 It’s a test piece really, I’ve got some nicer wood earmarked but I’ve never made one before so doing a pine/oak top test first. 
 I imagine the topology of the wood affects the sound of the guitar, so if you use different wood how will you translate your forming methods between wood types?  I don't know shit about any of this but now im interested. 
 I'm still learning too, guitars normally use "tone wood" which would be things like alder/basswood/ash etc. I've seen lots of people making Pinecasters though so hopefully this one sounds ok. The forming will be pretty much the same though regardless of wood type.
