I'm in my late 30's, and I knew immediately that Marlon Brando is on the lower left. But then, my wife and I (and our kids) love the classics. 😁

For real tho. i have this same theory for people that got mid-rich in the 90’s. they wouldn’t survive now. they did it on info asymmetry that doesn’t exist anymore. (think fast food people.)

I'm not sure this theory holds all that well for cinema stars, maybe? 🤔 Fans of film will watch the classics of any age. Perhaps moreso now that new releases aren't all that.
I thought that, too, but "classics" are younger, now, and in color.
Hmm I think that's just an expansion of the classics canon no? People still go back to Metropolis. It's p standard to go back even pre-talkies
Yes, but that's a niche thing. Classic for Gen Z is more like "Apocalypse Now", "A Time to Kill", "Clueless", "Silence of the Lambs", or the first "Top Gun".
I think a lot of Gen Z are quite into niche interests, and diligent with nerding up lol:) There's always been boring people in every generation. I think there's too much focus on the most boring gen Z, maybe cos theyre more vocal and there's whole platforms for them. I suspect Gen Z are fairly similar to most generations within the sort of scope of cultural awareness of this thread, at least
When mine watch classic anime, but I don't know if that counts.
I'm slightly prejudiced against anime lol. But I think that counts:) Maybe block them having access to discord, just to be safe tho
