 The usefulness of badges hasn’t even been exploited yet IMO , I’ve only seen two education projects gen up and using badges for something like certifications makes a lot of sense

 I don't think that capability has been broadly marketed. Few know! 

 There is no such capability in amethyst, right? Of course you can copy the npub and create an account with it, but a Malkovich button gives you a very easy way to do it. Just to temporarily transcend into someone else's persona.

 I use it a lot for finding and accessing a specific profile. Someone I know I am following/is following me

 Maybe remove zaps from the profile page.

I saw some people complaining that some devs receive more zaps than other and having this info in the profiles can lead to attacks, so showing how much a person is receiving should be discouraged 

 I look at follow/following quite often & I really like recommendations.  A mutual follow list would be neat. I never look at reports. Badges are fun but laggy & sometimes seem to cause crashes, maybe be call on request(?). But it's fine to me as it is too. I don't miss what I don't have & it doesn't feel cluttered.  

 I can't scroll through the following hashtags. 

 Imo remove badges, remove zap history and total amount. 

It would be nice to have a "media" page and maybe the ability to pin/highlight a note at the top (instead of bookmarks). Or maybe turn the public bookmarks page into a "highlights" page where the profile owner pins their personal favorite notes.

Btw, I mainly use the profile page to read the notes and look at follows/followers

Also use to check relays that might be worth checking using too, though not too often. 

 Overall I think it's good. I'd like the page to assemble faster. 

 Make the Profile page a "Dashboard" for your notes, replies, follows, zaps, bookmarks, relays, etc. 

 i would love to quickly see how many of my followers and follows also follow the user. might be a good step towards evaluating the inferred trust for that user.

 Would be nice to create a new post directly from the profile page, instead of having to double back to Home first. Also would be nice if while visiting another profile, I can create a new post that mentions them directly

 I would love to see there a "Books" button where you can easily list the books you read and how you liked it (1-10) and what are you reading now. I think we should push reading books more.

I have the APK. But it says "this app isn't compatible with your tv".

It looks really good when I screen cast it. But I would like to use my remote to navigate.

Or maybe just use my phone as a keyboard for the TV.

I'm always pushing the limits. Just ignore this if it sounds too crazy. I can't help it lol..😊

 I think you should stop adding features for a while and concentrate on fixing the memory issues. Amethyst (and Onyx) both crash so frequently that it is a constant struggle to use. 

If you insist on adding new features, at least start with audio notifications for DMs.

 I almost never use the profile page - usually list to copy an npub if that. It’s too much work to scroll through to see what people talk about. 

What might be interesting is seeing people’s curated media. Perhaps podcasts they appeared on, books they wrote, talks they gave - something that lets me see who they are beyond a short bio. 

 But then again, I’m not sure if I’d even look at that and if I’m just brainstorming features 😂 

Don’t trust me. 

 I’m the same, literally use it to check the bio for any red flags before I click the follow button. Although I’m a #damus user so I’m not sure how amethyst presents the page

 I use it for the same. I check bio and replies. The real person lives in the replies. Sort of like how they say "real America shows itself in the comment section of an article."

 i use profile feeds all the time, one of the best features, need a liked feed too 

 with no algo, you are the algo. muting is pretty much a “don’t see” function with an unfortunate negative connotation

A good pick would be to display hot topics/ hashtags that users post about.

 I mostly visit people's profiles to DM them, copy their Npub, or look for specific posts.  

 Feels like search in somebody's profile could be interesting.

 Finding specific notes by keyword and date range would be fantastic. Right now I have to find the npub and use Advanced Nostr Search. This should be possible within the client.

 I use it to vet a profile, i.e. seeing someone's posts to decide whether I want to follow them or not. I mainly see whether I find their past 10-20 posts interesting, and I check that they don't post too many posts per day.

 Are you talking about Profile for viewing myself or when viewing others' profiles? I thought the latter but many here seem to be answering for the former.
