Oddbean new post about login | logout @a6ff0b2b what I did to fix it was delete the “person” pet and let Photos do its thing overnight. It then found a duplicate of the pet, but this time as a pet. I was then able to merge them. I did this all on iPhone. I hope this helps. It’s definitely not ideal. (2/2)
@8a54b27a What did you to do “delete” it? Right-click and "Remove this Person”?
