I actually had a friend say to me, “how much more money do you need?” This dude is childless and lives off his parents lol What he doesn’t understand is this… How much more do I need for me? Nothing. But when you have a family, people depend on you. I have four kids. What if they have four kids? Including my wife that’s 21 people I’m responsible for. What if I’m the only person in the family who ever figures out anything substantial? Looking back that appears to be the case. Everyone before me was some garden variety European peasant. There’s no royalty in my blood. Why would I assume it would be any different going forward? Nah man, it’s me. Just me. I’m the only one. And people are depending on me. How much more money do I need? Enough for everybody.
21 is a good number
That’s the dream alright
💯🎯
Same! No one is coming to save my kids or grandkids, I'm the dude
Agreed. However, your offspring will not be garden peasants. Trust me, since you saw the light, you can show it to (at least some of) them. Although I agree you should do whatever it takes to take care of all of them, I believe most will expand on the wealth you created.
Do you plan or separating your wealth or create a trust where the whole stays whole and your heirs need to work together on how to move and use the wealth ?
Luckily stacking now allows those gains to compound with each generation. 100x in next generation minimum. Who knows after that but probably still 10x in real terms
Building for the generation is such a mind blowing concept for most people with out the magic of Bitcoin in their life. My wife’s grandad was working class and built enough wealth to help get all his 14 grand kids on the property ladder. This was a massive inspiration for me. But the more I worked and looked at my depleating savings etc I realised I hardly had enough for my own retirement let alone kids and grand kids. So when I learnt about bitcoin it was the solution/ticket I needed to hopefully pass something of value down to the future generations. This is why we hodl 💪🏼
You do realize this argument makes you even more horrible to the younger generation (who won't have kids bc global warming), the LGBTQ+ folks, and the childless cat ladies, right?
This is real. An bunch of nonsense people usually talk to me about it, "don't you think that you need work less and enjoy the money?" It's not about me anymore... nostr:note1lxeg6x6zrt5x3dhpajprczflk4krtkp3g8yrz8g6s43hccu2g6mspqdwlw
Phat stack of sats is worthless. Leaving bitcoin to your kids is the worst disservice you could do. Teach them to make their own. I know its hard but thats how younimpart love, money does not communicate that. ”How much money is enough?” Is always the wrong question. Answer is zero. Instead ask ”how much of a legacy do I want to leave behind?” Read my post about it: https://primal.net/e/note15z3pk2hlx08cl8trzgwx6nys0jql4xq8swppcl76t7csgepqyx8s5gdw0s
Sure... but have a good balance for all things that are important.
