For the new Nostr Nests, which experience do you believe should be prioritized? Mobile or desktop?
Mobile
Do you think text chat should be prioritized over seeing people in the audience on mobile?
yes
My 2sats, audience visualization is a crucial part of the experience. Feeling like you're "in a room" with someone you follow and respect makes the experience much more special intimate feeling. Chat rooms that are too large can have the opposite effect.
How about a toggle button or card to switch between audience view and text view?
Hmmm noh, I think the ability to “see” who you’re connecting with is a huge part of the experience. But when you say text chat.. are you saying group chats (like legends) or the ability to text/chat live in space? I may change my mind..
Think of it as a group chat for that audio space so people in the audience can talk and ask questions, so they can still participate even though they're not on stage.
Mobile gets my vote. What are your high-level plans for the redesign?
Making it an actual Nostr client and supporting as many NIPs that make sense to incorporate.
Mobile friend. 😸📱
Mobile for user. Desktop for creators.
+1
thats tough. i want desktop but mobile would probably be better for the majority
Agree. Trying to come up with design methods to do both. @Karnage is on the case.
For recording sake desktop. Microphones, recordings, etc…
Got it. When you click the record button you're taken down a content creator rabbit hole with tools to help you create, drinks to help you stay hydrated, and snacks to keep you energized. Beer and beer jerky or should we have a water option too?
Record button has a bidet option.
I like it. Helps you stay on task no matter the situation.
Desktop for podcasters and guests; mobile for listeners
This is how I view it too. It will be hard to optimize for both, but Karnage is on the case.
For me it would be desktop 💜
Sames. Desktop users unite! But we also need a solid mobile solution. I feel it's a mix of desktop users for creators and mobile users for random talkers.
Probably mobile... from a listeners perspective. but Probably desktop... if I was speaking. Mobile seems more accessible to the masses imo. Main thing is having iOS and Android release at around the same time I think.
This seems to be the common answer. Thanks.
