They want to make you feel nuts. NO YOU ARE NOT. Simple trick is using the passenger one to click on the driver's one.. or you can have by default one inserted (from a other seat belt, but just the click without the belt) always in, and take it off the moments you really one to use your seat belt for longer journeys

When my cousin was little I let him sit in the front seat, he was so excited. Setting off, the seat belt alarm starts beeping, I decided to mess with him: "OHMYGAWD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! IF YOU DONT PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON, THE CAR WILL BLOW UP" The beeping then gets more urgent never going to forget watching him scramble🤣🤣🤣🤣 alarm still annoying though

That wouldn't even be so bad. 🥴 The new models start beeping extremely persistently if you're just 5 km/h over the speed limit, everything is recorded and reported to the manufacturers and insurance companies, and the microphone records everything. It's a privacy nightmare!

My wife bought a seat belt extension. Problem solved. Her GMC Yukon won't even drive if you don't first buckle up. (I think it let's you drive after like 60 seconds if you don't buckle up but what if zombies were chasing you?)
