@99b9ed46 @36ae45e5 @6b6e36ca I think anyone can generate these, but just in case they can’t - https://warhammer.social/invite/yWDeJU9p I was trying to see if there was an easy way to adjust the last bit of the URL to FediPaint but no luck 😅
@e6fcc562 @36ae45e5 @6b6e36ca does this mean the fedi paints is only going to be available for people on the warhammer.social server?
@99b9ed46 @36ae45e5 @6b6e36ca don’t think there’s any need for that. The invite link just removes the server confusion for folks to wanting to slide across about “selecting a server is hard”
@99b9ed46 I spend more of my daydreaming time thinking about a smooth onboarding to Mastodon than I’d care to admit 🤣

- Simple sign up - invite link to server
- the Explore section is now monitored so has some stuff for folks to get started with
- Suggested accounts all motoring too

I’m tossing and turning on whether to compile a list of accounts that folks could just follow straight off the bat by uploading them like you do when swapping server (with all the accounts consent obvs)
@99b9ed46 also there’s a relay I’ll pick up with @36ae45e5 on that looks like it’d be a good fit for Warhammer . Social to join. Lots of hobby Adjacent instances that would populate the Federated with more hobby content from decent folks across the fedi.
@e6fcc562 given the amount of spam whores we've been seeing on other instances I am not entirely sure if this is going to be clever lawl
@99b9ed46 😂 that’s a totally fair comment. Couple of ways to manage it, I can kill the invite link semi regularly, and reissue them to anyone wanting to pass them out. We can block email servers from registering accounts. Worst case scenario we could screen sign up requests. But I get you.
@e6fcc562 just voicing concerns I see.

Might also make a list you suggest you share with when welcoming newcomers to. Like, an OF spambot isn't going to respond to a message

But yeah that's hardly automated
@99b9ed46 keep em coming - I’m only one mind, and will be following logical pathways and not thinking about others, so comments/feedback on Explore/Spam/Tending etc is all welcome, anything really, even if it falls out of my remit - I eventually get nattering to Ian on it.

Just a curiosity- you picked up on any/much spam from here? We don’t get that much, but just curious if its noticed or if we catch it quick enough. Last one was 15th of Sept - can’t remember exactly, had you joined us then?
