I find the the idea that you can stop something you don't like by simply making it illegal so amusing. I mean, it's clearly worked really well for the war on drugs and the war on terror, right?!
Perhaps instead of legislating and then spending billions on enforcement (and/or wars), we should spend that time and money on educating people and equipping them with the mindset, tools, and social skills to manage what they see and do on the internet and in the real world in a productive way.
Meh, you're right. Let's just keep yelling at each other about what we DON'T want instead of working together to get more of what we DO want in the world.
