It actually wasn’t renewed in 2019. But different bills have filled in the holes. They are pushing had to ban encryption. Bitcoin is literally encryption. Their bills say that having encrypted data can make you guilty of a crime if you do not allow you access to your encrypted data. So they could accuse you of something like child pron and ask you hand over your passwords. If you don’t it’s an admission of guilt and you’re guilty.
That sounds terrible and something that they would need some type of 9/11 digital crisis to be able to pass. They definitely want to but I see it being easier to pass in Europe
