One more thing that it is not lightning but related to it. Nostr marketplace is unusable and unused. Zaps got developed quite well, but I'm not interested in microtransactions. I find them quite silly. Jack is funding it cause it answers the what if of twitter springing into existence after bitcoin. $20/mo in zaps isn't gonna help anyone to be freer than before. 

There is no reason not to have a multi currency marketplace aside from bitfags being retarded.  

 The nostr marketplace does need work.  Maybe categorize items may help? Also, I feel alot of bitcoiners may not want to buy items for SATS. Hard to justify this, so I can't say. 

 This is exactly why I hate lightning. It's just a marketing ploy and a useless toy meant for tiny amounts, and not for supporting real uncensored e-commerce. This also why Nostr alternative to Patreon will fail. Bitcoiners are greedy.  

 Just give it time! Nost is still new, give another year or two. I think the marketplace will be different by then. Have faith, fren 

 Nostr is 3 years old, and losing users. Something must be done to make it useful for a broader userbase, and lightning crowd like OpenSats isn't gonna make it happen. So there won't be a nice UI for it, but bots will work. 

Do you see yourself using Nostr if you can get actual paying supporters on YouTube and Patreon? 

 Lets say tiktok ban does follow through. Then we have ID checks on X, and blueskye following suit. You still think nostr will not inherite some of these users? 

 Im not disputing what your saying. It really depends on the user. I could publish my articles on medium,  substack, or whatever. But for me owning my content is more important so I value nostr for this reason.
