Plagiarizing content from other people from other social media and posting it here without giving proper credit to the original author is a net negative for nostr, and it makes you appear greedy. I hate seeing it in my feed. It’s rampant.

 It will come to this.
I agree we should be creative and fresh. I was tempted too at the idea of reposting all my stuff from years ago but I feel different here on nostr. Just the idea of logging on Facebook makes me sick.
Shout out to all my originals 🫂
 Yes 🙌
 It’s exhausting, but it’s honest work 😂
I only post memes that are in the public domain.
Thus is the nature of memes, although I prefer to make my own I see no harm in sharing the ones someone else has made. That said, it gets boring seeing the same image posted by multiple people on multiple networks. Lol. But I’m talking more about literal copy/paste word for word plagiarism of entire posts. Spreading good ideas/info to a wider audience is great, but they should at least give credit to the author, especially when they know people on nostr are likely to zap them money for it. Lol
 🙇‍♂️ memelord speaketh!
How do you find out who the author is?

Crediting whichever account you saw it on first, is even worse, because they're usually just a copier, too, so they get unwarranted credit. I don't credit at all, and feel honest doing so.
Be original. Then you don’t need to credit anyone.
That's a nice PoW solution, but it doesn't necessarily proliferate those memes that deserve proliferation.
Not talking so much about memes as much as I’m talking about people copy/pasting entire posts word for word as if they wrote it themselves. Plagiarism.
Oh, now that I re-read your post I see it. All clear, thank
 🫡🤝
 I don’t make memes. I am a meme
I think it depends what it is. If it's general shit posting then, no.
I am using this AI generated image, I do not know who made it, I just downloaded it one day and liked it so much that is now part of my profile.

Sorry Anon, credit to whomever made it.
