So I want to get Linux package distribution on my roadmap for my noscrypt shared library. I've seen some things that just make me more confused on how to get a library packaged, and available for repositories. Most suggesting starting with Debian, but I haven't even found a good place to start. Any docs/links would be ideal.

I can't wait until yall can run "x install libnoscrypt" and all you other developers can just link to it!

@finrod I believe you have done this for Aedile right?
Ugh, I've done this before way back. I think I just found a .Deb for a small library I used as an example.

It was painful though.
So I've heard. I know someone has to manage these repos, and they have to have some sort of process for it, but it's all hidden behind 1990s websites and mailing lists XD
Actually, and this is a serious recommendation, ask in the IRC channels. You'll get instant help.
Appreciate the tip! Man, I haven't used IRC in a while.
I recently got back into it. Rocking a bouncer an everything again.
I'm going to be that guy that suggests NixOS lol.

I think this will be the most helpful for you:

For shipping my library to public repos?
