I don’t think it’s cruel, I think there’s a respect you can glean from nature over this encounter, how everything in nature fits together to make moments like these where an insect can pull a flighty bird like a hummingbird from thin air and start snacking on it. Do I like what happened? No. Do I have respect for what’s taken place? Yes. It’s morbid and a little disturbing but it’s nature.
