 its should taste like a cross between a strawberry and cantaloupe. the ones i get in the current place i live have no taste at all. glad you got a good one

 I have not found one to have flavor, or if so, it's very slight. I was quite let down.

You just reminded me that I'll be seeing persimmons in the store soon. If you haven't had one, get one that feels almost too soft, like it's over-ripe. The texture, flavor, and tartness are quite the experience!
