It’s so amazing how detached from true productivity the ‘intellectuals/tech bros’ (and the neck bearded sheep followers) in western world are these days.

Magic thinking at many levels. I see it at my work every day: we use energy + time and make AI/Robots that help us complete a task more quickly, then we take the time savings and “chill in the hallway, BS-ing about the game” or “take a long lunch” or “head home early”, productivity is actually decreasing not increasing. 

 The main problem is that VC money falls hook line and sinker for it, perpetuating the problem 

 and part of that VC money is handled by intels who are keeping people stupid and believing in the tooth fairy
