But what they can't do (mechanically) is go back and edit these game dev's released games. They simply don't have that power/ability. So no 'new stuff' can be snuck in, no gleeful edits or anything. Most of these games are just smaller indies (not all, Hearthstone exists), and saying 'People should not give these small people money because the big corp is fucking with them' seems...off to me.

@46cd5609 Fair, but a lot of the devs (NOT the unity ones, obviously) have come forward and talked things through. Most of what I've seen has been a variation on 'Buy the games and install them now, if you want to, we'll figure out Jan 1st' and 'the current unity engine does not/can not phone home'. The direct comparison is 'don't stream' during the strike stuff, when actors/writers -want- people to stream their stuff, to show high usage numbers. I'm cuing off the people who know more.
