There are a number of videos of the "plane" hitting the Pentagon which suggest it wasn't a plane at all. As for the towers, it's a mix between remotely controlled planes and there not being any planes at all. The actual event doesn't matter much to me anymore, just the fact that they lied and continue to lie about it. 

 Yep. As you say, we'll never know the 100% truth but the official narrative is bollox. It's the audacity of the deep state to insist on their take in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary🤷🏻‍♂️. 

 Operation Northwoods is confirmation that the government was fully willing to kill citizens all the way back the 60's. Part of why JFK got taken out, he stood in the way of the "deep state".

So at the very least we know they are capable of it. I think that's one of the biggest hurdles people can't get over when it comes to 9/11.
